Job summary

The Lismore City Council seeks a Technology Operations Lead to oversee infrastructure operations, coordinate managed service partners and drive major upgrades. Reporting to the Manager Technology and Innovation, you will lead cross‑functional teams and steer operation excellence.

You will enable reliable, secure IT services, manage budgets and governance, and foster a customer‑focused service culture across the organisation. This is a full‑time leadership role in NSW.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading IT operations and support teams in a complex tech environment.
• Strong leadership, project management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement across all levels.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver multiple initiatives.
• Sound knowledge of technology infrastructure and deployment tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable, secure and resilient technology services to enable Council operations.
• Lead internal teams and technology partners to foster high‑performing service culture.
• Manage technology change, projects and priorities to minimise risk.
• Continuously improve technology infrastructure, systems and processes.
• Align technology outcomes with governance, budgets and cyber security compliance.
