Job summary

Lismore City Council is seeking a Technology Operations Lead to ensure the effective operation, performance and continuous improvement of the Council's technology environment. Reporting to the Manager Technology and Innovation, this role directs infrastructure operations and leads change initiatives.

This full-time leadership position requires strong communication, governance, budgeting and partner management to deliver major technology upgrades that support organisational goals.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related field.
• Experience leading IT operations and support teams within a complex technology environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable, secure and resilient technology services that enable Council to operate efficiently and effectively.
• Lead internal teams and technology partners, fostering a high-performing and customer-focused service culture.
• Manage technology change, projects and operational priorities to minimise risk and maximise business value.
• Continuously improve technology infrastructure, systems and processes to remain modern, secure and aligned with needs.
• Ensure governance, stakeholder engagement, budgeting and cyber security compliance are integrated into technology strategy.
