Job summary

EML is seeking a Technical Specialist to join our dedicated claims team in Melbourne or Geelong on a permanent, part-time basis. This role focuses on supporting workers’ compensation claims with a strong emphasis on compliance and stakeholder collaboration.

You will apply your technical expertise to optimise claims processes, uphold WorkSafe Victoria guidelines, and contribute to meaningful outcomes for injured workers.

Qualifications

• Strong technical experience within the Victorian workers compensation scheme is required.
• Experience as a technical specialist or similar role in workers compensation claims is preferred.
• Experience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities is desirable.
• Superior time management and negotiating skills are important.
• Exceptional problem solving and strategic thinking abilities are expected.
• Experience in coaching and supporting others is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to claims teams about the claims management process in line with Victorian workers compensation law and WorkSafe Victoria guidelines.
• Assist claims teams in achieving performance measures.
• Review and provide feedback on current claims management practices and procedures to identify and manage trends.
• Develop strategic initiatives and procedures to ensure service, performance and compliance targets are met.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with organisational compliance with legal, governance and WorkSafe Victoria agent requirements.

• Providing technical support to claims teams about the claims management process in line with Victorian workers compensation law and WorkSafe Victoria guidelines
