Job summary

EML Group in Melbourne is seeking a Workers Compensation Technical Specialist to join our claims team. You will provide expert technical guidance on the Victorian workers compensation scheme, support performance measures, and drive compliant, best-practice processes.

The role offers hybrid work and a permanent, full-time position with opportunities to grow within a specialist organisation focused on personal injury claims management and AI-powered process improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong technical experience within the Victorian workers compensation scheme is mandatory.
• Experience as a technical specialist or similar role in workers compensation claims is preferred.
• Experience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities.
• Superior time management and negotiating skills.
• Exceptional problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience in coaching and supporting others.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to claims teams about the claims management process in line with Victorian workers compensation law and WorkSafe Victoria guidelines.
• Assist the claims teams in achieving performance measures.
• Review current claims management practices and procedures to identify and manage emerging trends.
• Develop strategic initiatives and procedures to meet service, performance and compliance targets.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with organisational compliance with legal, governance and WorkSafe Victoria agent requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing technical support to claims teams about the claims management process in line with Victorian workers compensation law and WorkSafe Victoria guidelines
