Job summary

The University of Wollongong is seeking a Technical Services Coordinator to oversee technical services within the School of Creative Arts & Humanities. The role bridges academic staff and the technical services team to enable excellent learning, teaching and research experiences on the Wollongong Campus.

You will lead a dedicated technical services team, manage safety programs, and coordinate equipment lifecycle while collaborating with stakeholders across the school and beyond.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading, coordinating and developing staff within a collaborative team environment.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements in teaching, research or creative environments.
• Proven ability to implement and improve operational processes, procedures and service delivery outcomes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise technical services operations to support learning, teaching and research activities.
• Lead and support Technical Services Officers through workload planning, recruitment, onboarding and day-to-day supervision.
• Coordinate the procurement, maintenance and lifecycle management of technical equipment, facilities and resources.
• Drive workplace health and safety compliance, training, inductions and risk management activities.
• Build strong working relationships with academic, professional and external stakeholders to support operations and events.
