Job summary

The University of Wollongong (UOW) is seeking a Technical Services Coordinator for the School of Creative Arts & Humanities to coordinate technical operations and safety, reporting to the School Operations Manager.

You will lead a dedicated technical services team, manage staff deployment, and liaise with academic staff and external partners to enable high-quality teaching, learning and research experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or extensive relevant experience.
• Experience leading and developing staff within a collaborative team.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety in teaching, research or creative environments.
• Proven ability to implement and improve operational processes and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise technical services operations to support learning, teaching and research activities.
• Lead and support Technical Services Officers through workload planning, onboarding and day-to-day supervision.
• Coordinate the procurement, maintenance and lifecycle management of technical equipment, facilities and resources.
• Drive workplace health and safety compliance, training, inductions and risk management across School facilities.
• Build relationships with academic, professional and external stakeholders to support operations, events and continuous improvement initiatives.
