Job summary

The University of Wollongong is seeking a Technical Services Coordinator within the School of Creative Arts & Humanities. You will coordinate technical operations, lead a team of Technical Services Officers, and ensure WHS compliance to support teaching, learning and research activities on campus.

The role collaborates closely with academic staff and external stakeholders, delivering high-quality technical support and continuous improvements across facilities and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or extensive relevant experience in a related field.
• Experience leading, coordinating and developing staff in a collaborative team.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements in teaching, research or creative environments.
• Proven ability to implement and improve operational processes and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise technical services operations to support learning, teaching and research activities.
• Lead and support Technical Services Officers through workload planning, recruitment, onboarding and day-to-day supervision.
• Coordinate procurement, maintenance and lifecycle management of technical equipment, facilities and resources.
• Drive WHS compliance, training, inductions and risk management across School facilities.
• Build strong relationships with academic, professional and external stakeholders to support operations, events and continuous improvement.
