Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific Australia is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist for its Chemical Analysis Division. You will drive revenue growth by applying deep Raman and FTIR knowledge, understanding client workflows, and delivering tailored instrument solutions.

In this role you will build trust with key accounts, run product demonstrations, and collaborate with marketing, sales and technical support. A strong background in science and proven sales success are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 3–5 years of technical sales experience in scientific instrumentation, laboratory products, or life sciences
Deep technical knowledge of Raman & FTIR applications and portfolio
Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and customer requirements
Experience delivering technical demonstrations and training, excellent presentation and communication skills
Experience using CRM systems and MS Office, plus analytical/sales forecasting abilities

Responsibilities

Achieve sales and margin targets across territory for chemical analysis product lines
Develop territory plans aligned with commercial strategy
Generate leads and progress opportunities to sale
Maintain a well-qualified pipeline with next steps and stakeholders
Provide monthly sales forecasts and maintain forecast accuracy
Record customer interactions in Salesforce and analyze performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet targets and customer needs
Travel 50–75% within territory and build strong customer relationships
