Job summary

Core Talent is seeking a commercially driven Technical Sales Representative in Western Australia. You will identify new business opportunities across manufacturing, mining, fabrication and industrial sectors, build relationships with decision-makers, and deliver customised technical solutions with input from engineering teams.

Ideally you have experience interpreting engineering drawings and developing concepts in collaboration with internal design and production teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical sales within manufacturing, fabrication, mining or industrial environments.
• Background in manufacturing, fabrication, mining, engineering or industrial settings.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and discuss customer requirements confidently.
• Trade qualification in a relevant discipline; CAD knowledge advantageous.

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across manufacturing, mining, fabrication and industrial sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and industry stakeholders.
• Take a consultative approach to sales, understanding customer challenges and developing customised technical solutions.
• Interpret technical drawings, understand customer specifications and contribute to initial design concepts with internal engineering and design teams.
• Work collaboratively with customers and internal design, engineering and production teams to progress opportunities from initial concept through to quotation, order and delivery.
• Manage the full sales process, including prospecting, customer meetings, quotations, negotiations and securing new business, while growing existing accounts.

Our client is a highly regarded Australian manufacturing business, recognised for delivering quality products and customised solutions to the mining, fabrication and industrial sectors. They are looking for a commercially driven, technically minded Technical Sales Representative to join their team. With a background in manufacturing, fabrication, mining or engineering, you'll combine your industry knowledge with a consultative sales approach to develop new business, build customer relationships and deliver tailored solutions. Working closely with customers and internal engineering, design and production teams, you'll take ownership of opportunities from initial discussions through to securing new business.

• Circa $150,000 + Super + Uncapped Commission
• Company vehicle or vehicle allowance.
• Uncapped commission with excellent earning potential.

Position Details

• Location: Welshpool
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.
• Travel: Regular customer site visits required.

About the Role

• Manage the full sales process, including prospecting, customer meetings, quotations, commercial negotiations and securing new business, while growing existing accounts and maintaining a strong sales pipeline.

About You

• Proven experience in technical sales, business development or senior account management.
• Background in manufacturing, fabrication, mining, engineering or industrial environments.
• Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and confidently discuss customer requirements and design concepts.
• Trade qualification in a relevant discipline (highly desirable), with basic CAD knowledge or exposure to design software also advantageous.
• Demonstrated success in generating new business, negotiating commercial outcomes and developing long-term customer relationships.
• Commercially driven, self-motivated and confident engaging with engineers, operational managers and senior decision-makers, with the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of results.
