Job summary

Prime Manufacturing Pty Ltd – Braeside VIC is seeking a reliable Technical Sales Representative. You will respond to customer enquiries by phone and email, provide product information, prepare quotations and process sales orders while pursuing opportunities and delivering after-sales support.

The role requires strong communication, detail orientation and the ability to work independently. Mandarin is preferred, and on-site presence in Braeside VIC 3195 is essential.

Qualifications

• Good English communication skills; Mandarin language skills preferred.
• Experience in sales, customer service or after-sales support is preferred.
• Willingness to learn technical product knowledge.
• Ability to work on-site in Braeside VIC 3195.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries primarily via phone and email, with occasional face-to-face interactions.
• Provide product information and advice to customers.
• Prepare quotations and process sales orders; follow up on opportunities.
• Maintain product knowledge, pricing, availability and stock levels.
• Work toward sales targets and KPIs through consistent follow-up and sales support.
• Build long-term customer relationships with reliable service.
• Assist customers with basic product troubleshooting.
• Coordinate repairs, exchanges, returns and warranty enquiries.
• Follow up with customers to ensure issues are resolved.
• Assist with stock checks and general office administration.
• Attend interstate visits, trade shows and exhibitions.
• Perform other reasonable administrative duties as required.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented and responsible Technical Sales Representative to join our team.

The role involves responding to customer enquiries, providing product advice, preparing quotations, processing sales orders, following up on sales opportunities and providing after-sales support.

The ideal candidate takes ownership of their responsibilities, works independently and follows tasks through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries primarily via phone and email, with occasional face-to-face customer interactions.
• Provide practical and accurate product information and advice to customers.
• Prepare quotations, process sales orders and follow up on outstanding enquiries and sales opportunities.
• Maintain good product knowledge and stay updated with pricing, availability and stock levels.
• Work towards sales targets and KPIs through consistent customer follow-up and effective sales support.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through reliable and professional service.
• Assisting customers with basic product troubleshooting and guidance.
• Coordinating repairs, exchanges, returns and warranty enquiries according to company procedures.
• Following up with customers to ensure issues are resolved appropriately.
• Assist with occasional stock checks and general office administration.
• Attend occasional interstate customer visits, trade shows and exhibitions.
• Assist with other reasonable administrative and operational duties as required.

Requirements

• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, including a 30-minute lunch break.
• Ability to work on-site in Braeside VIC 3195.
• Good English communication skills; Mandarin communication skills are preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete a Police Check — Required.
• Valid Australian Driver Licence — Required.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and a responsible approach to work.
• Ability to work independently, manage tasks effectively and follow through to completion.
• Previous experience in sales, customer service or after-sales support is preferred.
• An interest in mechanical, engineering or industrial products, with a willingness to learn technical product knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
