Job summary

AustCorp Executive is seeking a Pump Sales Specialist with pump and water industry experience to join a customer-facing technical sales team in Mackay, Queensland. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate, even if prior sales experience is limited.

You will build relationships, understand customer requirements, and develop new business opportunities across the region while delivering practical pumping solutions and quotations.

Qualifications

• Pump and water industry experience is required.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites across the region.
• Current Australian driver's license and working rights.

Do you know pumps and enjoy dealing with people?
You might already be working in pump sales, or you could be a Pump Fitter, Service Technician, Workshop Technician, Internal Salesperson or technical pump professional looking to take the next step in your career.

We’re looking for someone with pump and water industry experience to join a customer-facing technical sales role. Sales experience isn’t essential – if you know pumps and have the right personality, training and support will be provided.

What will you do?

You’ll work closely with customers to understand their requirements and provide practical pumping and water solutions.

Your role will include:

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
• Developing new business opportunities across the region
• Visiting customers and sites to understand their requirements
• Providing technical advice around pumps and associated equipment
• Helping customers identify the right solution for their application
• Preparing and following up quotations
• Working with suppliers and manufacturers on products and technical information
• Identifying replacement, upgrade and additional equipment opportunities
• Managing opportunities from initial enquiry through to order
• Working closely with internal sales, workshop, service and operational teams

As you develop in the role, you’ll also have the opportunity to build your knowledge across more detailed pump selection, system assessment, estimating and project coordination.

What will you need?

The biggest requirement is pump and water industry experience.

We’re genuinely open-minded about where that experience has come from. You could currently be working in:

• Pump fitting or mechanical trades
• Pump service / field service
• Workshop
• Internal sales
• Technical support
• Estimating
• External sales or business development

You’ll need:

• A good practical understanding of pumps and water applications
• Current driver's licence
• Full Australian working rights without requiring sponsorship.

Experience across mining, industrial, irrigation, commercial or municipal water applications would be advantageous, but you don't need to tick every box. The position itself works across those markets.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who understands the industry, communicates well and has the right personality to build strong customer relationships.
