Job summary

Metricon Homes is seeking a National Compliance Manager to lead regulatory compliance and technical documentation across our Queensland operations. You will guide building methodology, ensure standards alignment, and drive change management across national projects.

Based from our Robina office (Gold Coast), you will enable best practice, cost-efficiency and high-quality outcomes while maintaining strict regulatory adherence in a dynamic home-building environment.

Qualifications

• Exceptional understanding of the NCC and Australian standards for residential building elements.
• High level knowledge of construction methods and compliance practices.
• Leadership and confident, enthusiastic approach with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret National Regulation and Standards changes and ensure adoption.
• Monitor non-compliance and advise contingency plans.
• Develop change-management plans for regulatory updates.
• Support delivery of product construction details aligned with schedules.
• Review build methods and details for compliance prior to issue.
• Communicate upcoming changes to ensure ongoing compliance across projects.
• Loster stakeholder meetings to align design changes with compliance requirements.

Based out of our stylish Robina (Gold Coast) office, this new and exciting opportunity will help shape the future of our homes. As a key technical leader, you'll provide expert guidance on building methodology, regulatory compliance and technical documentation.

Your recommendations will drive best practice, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, all while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory requirements and company construction standards. Reporting to the National Product Commercialisation Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Review and implement all National Regulation and Standard changes


• Identify and monitor areas of non-compliance including recommendations for contingency planning


• Develop and implement change management plans for each regulatory update


• Support and contribute to delivering new product Construction Details to the business in full and aligned with product release schedule. Undertake regular review of applicable actions listed in the strategic plan to ensure each is completed as described in the plan


• Review of build methods and detailing and provide support to review details prior to issue to the business


• Advise of up-coming changes required to ensure continued compliance of our products and build methods


• Monitor and report on the status of the implementation of business support tools, to ensure regulatory change compliance


• Contribute ideas that improve the quality, cost effectiveness and ease of construction. Liaise with Construction & Operational teams nationally


• Research product & innovation opportunities to ensure all new initiatives meet Metricon building practices


• Ensure details match construction methods used, via site visits & or liaising with Construction team, recommending changes to details


• Review all product improvements and site instructions for compliance prior to adoption


• Support the business on quality control and training of changes to compliance requirements; and


• Conduct stakeholder meetings when required and contribute to team meetings to ensure design impact of changes to compliance requirements is understood
