Job summary

Unisys is seeking a Tech Field Engineer in Australia to install, diagnose, maintain and service computer products including desktops, servers and networking devices. You will work at client sites, performing installs, moves, adds and changes, and provide hardware and software support across networks and AV rooms.

You’ll demonstrate professionalism, meet SLA requirements and ensure client satisfaction through proactive maintenance and clear escalation when needed.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of hands‑on experience in field engineering or related technical support roles.
• Proven ability to perform maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting in customer environments.
• Technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Must be an Australian Citizen
• AGSVA Baseline/NV1 security clearance is a must have

• Serves as Field Engineer for specific clients and products, including tech kiosks/desks.
• Provides software, hardware and networking support for desktops, servers, network devices, AV rooms and other networked devices.
• Installs and maintains PCs, networks, servers, peripherals and other networked devices.
• Supports network products from both operational and maintenance perspectives, including preventative maintenance activities.
• Performs installs, moves, adds and changes as required.
• Tests and certifies PCs, networks, servers and client approved applications.
• Provides follow-up on problems or escalations.
• Maintains a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor and dress.
• Meets SLA requirements and ensures client satisfaction in all interactions

• Serves as Field Engineer for specific clients and/or for specific products and applications, including tech kiosks / desks.
• Provides software, hardware and networking support for desktops, laptops, servers, network devices, AV rooms and other networked devices.
• Installs and maintains PCs and associated software, networks, servers, peripherals and other networked devices.
• Supports network products from both operational and maintenance perspectives, including preventative maintenance activities.
• Performs installs, moves, adds and changes as required.
• Tests and certifies PCs, networks, servers and client approved applications.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 1 to 2 years of hands‑on experience in field engineering or related technical support roles.
• Proven ability to perform maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting in customer environments.
• Must be an Australian Citizen
• AGSVA Baseline/NV1 security clearance is a must have
