Job summary

TeamKids in NSW is seeking a passionate Second in Charge (2IC) to lead the before/after school care service at The Oaks. This permanent, part-time role offers hands-on leadership and the opportunity to shape daily programs and safety practices for children.

You will work closely with the Director of Service, families, and school principals to deliver engaging activities, manage staff on split shifts, and promote a positive, fun environment that supports learning and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in Before/After School Care or education is preferred, training provided.
• Strong communication with children, parents and staff.
• Energetic, enthusiastic and loves to have fun.
• Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.

Job Description

This permanent, part - time opportunity offers hands on experience in the OSHC industry. You’ll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

Service Location:

The Oaks NSW 2570

You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday:

BSC: 6.30am-9am

ASC: 3pm-6pm

Total: 27.50

The Successful Candidate:

• Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can train you!
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart!
• Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
• You're a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills & a can-do, positive attitude.
• Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN!

• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids
