Job summary

TeamKids in Oran Park NSW is seeking a Second in Charge (2IC) to lead the before/after school care service and deliver high-quality care for children.

This permanent, part-time position offers hands-on leadership with on-the-job coaching and opportunities to grow with the team. You will work split shifts across the week, helping create engaging experiences for children, parents, and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in before and after school care is preferred but not essential, training will be provided.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and maintains a positive, can-do attitude.
• Confident communicator with children, parents, staff and school principals.
• Diploma qualification (equivalent or working towards) as per ACECQA standards.
• National Child Safety Training via Geccko is required prior to commencing.

• Support the Director of Service and ensure smooth daily operations across OSC programs.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and effective communication with families and school partners.

Job Description

This permanent, part - time opportunity offers hands on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

Service Location:

Oran Park NSW, 2570

You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday:

• Before school care: 7am-9am
• After school care: 2.30pm-6.30pm
• Admin: 8
• Total hours: 38

The Successful Candidate:

• Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can train you!
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart!
• Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
• You’re a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude.
• Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN!
• Relevant Diploma qualification (equivalent or working towards it) as per ACECQA standards.
• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids
