TeamKids is seeking a Second in Charge (2IC) for our Amaroo OSHC service in ACT. This permanent, part-time role offers hands-on leadership in before/after school care, supporting the Director of Service to deliver high-quality programs for primary-age children.

You’ll engage with the school community, create enriching experiences based on children’s preferences, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Job Description

This permanent, part - time opportunity offers hands on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

Service Location: Amaroo

You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday:

• 6:45 - 9:00am
• 2:40 - 6:30pm
• Admin 5.92
• Total hours: 36.33

As the Second in Charge (2IC), you’ll be a key leader in delivering high-quality care and creating memorable experiences for the children in our service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about childcare and leadership, ready to make a meaningful impact on the children, parents, and team.

Innovation: Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the preferences of the children in your program

The Successful Candidate:

• Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can train you!
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart!
• Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
• You're a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude.
• Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN!

• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids
