Job summary

TeamKids is the premier OSHC provider in Australia, owned and run by teachers, dedicated to enriching children's lives. This permanent, part-time opportunity at Hurstville (2220) offers hands-on OSHC experience with support from a Director of Service.

As the Second in Charge (2IC), you’ll lead care delivery, engage children and families, and drive a positive, safe service culture. Prior OSHC or education experience is preferred; we will train the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in Before and After School Care or education preferred, but training provided.
• Confident communicator with children, parents, team, and school principals.
• Energetic, positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.

Job Description

This permanent, part - time opportunity offers hands on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

Service Location

Hurstville, 2220

Shift Schedule

• BSC: 7am-9am
• ASC: 3pm-6pm
• Total hours: 25

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about childcare and leadership, ready to make a meaningful impact on the children, parents, and team.

The Successful Candidate:

• Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential – we can train you!
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart!
• Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
• You're a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude.
• Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN!
• Relevant Diploma qualification (equivalent orworking towards it) as per ACECQA standards. (Visit www.acecqa.gov.au for more info)
• As part of TeamKids' commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids
