Job summary

TeamKids is seeking a part-time Second in Charge (2IC) to lead in delivering high-quality before/after school care at The Oaks, NSW. You’ll support daily operations, mentor staff, and create enriching experiences for children while liaising with families and school principals.

The successful candidate will have a passion for childcare leadership, be ready to train, and thrive in a fast-paced service. This role follows split shifts and requires commitment to child safety and team collaboration.

Job Description This permanent, part - time opportunity offers hands on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role. Service Location: The Oaks NSW 2570 You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday: BSC: 6.30am-9am ASC: 3pm-6pm Total: 27.50

As the Second in Charge (2IC), you’ll be a key leader in delivering high-quality care and creating memorable experiences for the children in our service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about childcare and leadership, ready to make a meaningful impact on the children, parents, and team.

The Successful Candidate:

• Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can train you!
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart!
• Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
• You’re a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude.
• Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN!
• Relevant Diploma qualification (equivalent or working towards it) as per ACECQA standards. (Visit www.acecqa.gov.au for more info)
• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids
