Job summary

TeamKids is seeking a Second in Charge (2IC) at our Ripley OSHC service. This permanent, part-time role (25 hours) offers hands-on leadership and classroom engagement, working across before and after-school care with a focus on creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.

You’ll collaborate with school communities, support events and assemblies, and ensure programs comply with ACECQA standards while delivering high-quality care in a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Before/After School Care is helpful but not essential.
• Confident communicator with children, families, and school staff.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• As Second in Charge (2IC), lead and support delivery of high-quality care.
• Engage with the school community and attend events and assemblies.
• Assist with designing enriching experiences based on children’s interests.
• Ensure program compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

Job Description

This permanent, part - time opportunity offers hands on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

Service Location: Ripley

You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday:

Before School Care: 7:00 - 9:00am

After School Care: 2:15 - 5:15pm

Total Hours: 25

Remarkable: Support with ensuring your program in compliance according to industry regulations.

The Successful Candidate:

• Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can train you!
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart!
• Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
• You're a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude.
• Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN!

• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids
