Job summary

The Espy & Las Palmas, part of The Boathouse Group, is looking for hands-on Team Leaders and Supervisors to join the busy front-of-house teams in Manly. You’ll motivate staff, coordinate service during peak periods and ensure memorable guest experiences on the iconic Manly waterfront.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience with leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.

What you'll be doing

• Lead, support and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service in a high-volume environment;

• Create a warm, welcoming and memorable experience for every guest;

• Oversee daily service operations, ensuring the venue runs smoothly and efficiently during busy service periods;

• Set the standard for service, presentation and professionalism on the floor;

• Coordinate team members and service priorities to maintain a seamless guest experience during peak periods;

• Support team training, onboarding and ongoing development;

• Respond to guest feedback and resolve issues with confidence and care;

• Ensure adherence to all relevant workplace health and safety requirements, RSA obligations, food safety standards and other regulatory and venue compliance requirements;

• Lead by example, fostering a positive, supportive and team-focused culture.

What we’re looking for

• Previous hospitality experience, with leadership or supervisory experience highly regarded;

• Experience working in a high-volume venue or fast-paced hospitality environment;

• A genuine passion for food, beverage and delivering exceptional guest experiences;

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

• Strong knowledge of hospitality compliance requirements, including RSA, food safety, workplace health and safety, and relevant workplace policies and procedures;

• The ability to lead by example, motivate a team and make confident decisions under pressure.

• Excellent organization and the ability to manage competing priorities during busy service periods.

• A proactive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to get hands-on.

• A team-first mindset, with a willingness to support colleagues wherever needed.
