Job summary

Waverley Council is seeking a dynamic Team Leader – Library Technology to oversee and manage all aspects of library technology. This hands-on leadership role ensures effective operation, innovation, and delivery of library services for our community.

The role focuses on leading the library technology team, overseeing systems and infrastructure, and delivering service excellence through new technologies, with a strong emphasis on coaching staff and driving change.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in the technology field.
• 1-2 years’ experience project management and staff management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in the implementation of technology projects and process improvement.
• Proven ability to embrace change and engage, lead and inspire others to achieve outcomes for the benefit of the organisation and community.
• Strong commitment to delivering quality customer service to the community and a positive, cooperative approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and support the library technology team.
• Oversee library systems, digital services, and technology infrastructure.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of service excellence initiatives including new and emerging technologies.
• Lead technology projects and ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organisational goals.
• Support library staff through coaching, training, and guidance in technology use.

What be you’ll doing?
