Carehero Wahroonga is seeking a Team Leader/Disability Support Worker to lead a client-focused care team in the client’s home. You will provide daily support, companionship, and coordinate activities to maximise quality of life.

The role involves supervising care staff, ensuring adherence to care plans, and acting as the main liaison between the client, family, and management. A leadership mindset with hands-on support is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in high or complex care environments.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• First Aid certificate and valid checks (NDIS/WWCC).
• Australian Driver's Licence and a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality daily support and companionship.
• Facilitate social outings and community engagement.
• Assist with meal preparation and domestic tasks.
• Encourage rehabilitation and exercise routines.
• Provide supervision, prompting, and gentle redirection.
• Lead, mentor, and guide support staff involved in the client’s care.
• Ensure care plans are implemented to a high standard.
• Act as a key liaison between the client, family, and Carehero management.

Team Leader/ Disability Support Worker - Wahroonga

We are specifically seeking an experienced and confident Team Leader (TL) to support a client in their mid-20s living with a disability affecting memory, endurance, and movement. The client is fully mobile and partially independent, requiring structured support, supervision, and encouragement to maximise quality of life.

This role is ideal for someone ready to step into leadership while remaining hands-on in direct support.

This role includes a wide variety of shift times including sleepovers.
