Job summary

McGuire Hotels is seeking a Duty Manager for the RQ Tavern in Robina, Queensland. This full-time role oversees all tavern operations to ensure an outstanding guest experience and smooth daily service.

You will lead front-of-house and back-of-house teams, manage opening/closing procedures, monitor stock, and ensure compliance with liquor licensing and health and safety regulations. Strong leadership and hospitality qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience (3+ years) in a supervisory or duty manager role within the hospitality industry.
• Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong operational and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid understanding of liquor licensing, food safety and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant hospitality qualifications or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating the work of front-of-house and back-of-house teams to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Overseeing the opening and closing procedures of the tavern.
• Monitoring stock levels and placing orders to maintain appropriate inventory.
• Handling customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant liquor licensing, health and safety regulations.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing operational efficiencies.
• Providing leadership, training and development to the tavern team.
