Job summary

Baker McKenzie in Sydney is seeking a Manager to join the Talent Management team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will partner with Partners, Associates and business services to deliver high-quality Talent Management services aligned with the office and Firm values.

You will provide practical, commercially focused advice across many people matters and collaborate with colleagues to implement Talent Management programs from performance management to remuneration and onboarding.

Qualifications

• Relevant HR/Talent Management experience in a professional services or similar complex environment.
• Experience advising managers on day-to-day people matters.
• Knowledge of Australian employment laws and policies.
• Ability to coordinate core people processes (performance, remuneration, recruitment, onboarding, change).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with Partners, managers and employees across allocated groups.
• Provide practical Talent Management advice and support.
• Coordinate and deliver people solutions with the People function.
• Guide on performance management, career conversations and development plans.
• Support salary reviews and onboarding for new employees.
• Contribute to workforce planning and resourcing discussions.
• Assist with organisational change and culture initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold policy frameworks.
