Job description

Just Quality Home Improvements | Adelaide, SA | Permanent, full-time

$200,000 base + super + performance bonus

Build our next team. Shape how we grow.

Just Quality Home Improvements operates in South Australia and Queensland, with our next stage of growth including expansion into Perth. Our products include outdoor blinds, roller shutters, plantation shutters, roofing, pergolas, verandahs and decking.

We’re looking for an experienced talent acquisition and HR professional to take ownership of how we attract, assess and bring talent into our business.

Working directly with the business owner, you’ll anticipate hiring needs, build relationships with strong candidates and implement proven processes that support our growth. You’ll combine planning with hands‑on sourcing, candidate assessment and practical HR support.

Why join us?
  • Shape our growth: Help build the teams behind our Perth expansion and continued development in SA and QLD.
  • Work directly with decision makers: Partner with the owner on workforce planning, hiring priorities and candidate selection.
  • Own the talent acquisition function: Bring your experience, establish effective systems and improve how we attract and assess people.
  • Be rewarded for results: $130,000 base plus super and a performance bonus linked to agreed hiring and quality measures.
What you’ll take ownership of

Your main priority will be attracting and securing Sales Managers and Sales Consultants. You’ll also support hiring for appointment setters, shopping‑centre promoters and operations employees as required.

  • Workforce planning: Work with the owner and managers to identify current and future hiring needs, define role requirements and establish recruitment priorities.
  • Talent pipelines: Build ongoing relationships with potential candidates for immediate vacancies, future growth and our Perth launch.
  • Proactive sourcing: Identify and approach strong candidates through direct outreach, referrals and industry networks, including people who are already employed.
  • Candidate attraction: Strengthen our job advertising and employer messaging, communicate the opportunity confidently and explain remuneration and expectations accurately.
  • Assessment and selection: Implement structured interviews, scorecards and practical assessments that evaluate sales ability, leadership experience and suitability for our business.
  • Candidate recommendations: Present two or three strong candidates per vacancy with clear assessments, recommendations, salary expectations and availability. Final hiring approval remains with the business owner.
  • Hiring coordination: Manage interviews, reference checks and offers, keeping candidates engaged through to their start date.
  • Recruitment systems: Establish documented processes and reporting that make hiring consistent, organised and measurable.
  • Onboarding and HR: Implement onboarding checklists, employee documentation and probation review processes, and support managers with routine employee and performance matters.
  • Continuous improvement: Report weekly on recruitment progress and work with managers to review new‑starter performance, retention and opportunities to improve hiring outcomes.
What you’ll bring
  • Proven talent acquisition experience, including successfully recruiting salespeople and Sales Managers.
  • Experience developing hiring plans and building candidate pipelines.
  • Strong headhunting skills and the ability to engage candidates who haven’t applied.
  • Proven recruitment and HR processes you can adapt and implement with minimal direction.
  • The ability to demonstrate results from your previous work.
  • Practical HR experience and working knowledge of Australian employment requirements.
  • Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple hiring priorities independently.

Experience in home improvements, solar, building products or other consultative sales environments would be highly regarded.

After-hours availability

Occasional work outside normal business hours may be required, particularly for evening interviews with candidates who are unavailable during the day. These commitments will be arranged in advance wherever possible.

Your initial focus

Understand our workforce needs, agree on hiring priorities, begin sourcing for immediate vacancies and the Perth launch, and put a practical talent acquisition and HR framework into operation.
