Job summary

AustraCold in Melbourne seeks a Systems Implementation Manager to lead planning, deployment and optimisation of cold storage tech across our facilities. You will manage complex system implementations with minimal disruption to logistics, driving efficiency and innovation in warehousing and distribution infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in systems implementation, preferably in cold storage or warehousing.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale technology implementations.
• Strong knowledge of WMS or inventory systems; Carton Cloud highly desirable.
• Experience with cold chain systems and temperature monitoring is a plus.
• Excellent project management and communication skills for non-technical stakeholders.

Systems Implementation Manager - Cold Storage

AustraCold is seeking a Systems Implementation Manager - Cold Storage to join our operations team in a full-time capacity at our Tottenham, VIC facility. This is a strategic role designed to lead the planning, deployment, and optimisation of technological systems that support our cold storage and distribution operations. You will be responsible for managing complex system implementations, ensuring minimal disruption to our logistics operations whilst driving efficiency and innovation across our warehousing and storage infrastructure. This role is critical to maintaining AustraCold's competitive advantage in the temperature-controlled logistics sector.

Reporting to: Head of Operational Excellence

Key responsibilities

Lead end-to-end system implementation projects, including planning, scoping, resource allocation, and stakeholder management

Manage integration of new systems with existing cold storage, inventory management, and distribution technologies

Develop comprehensive implementation timelines and risk mitigation strategies to minimise operational disruption

Coordinate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, warehouse management, and third-party vendors

Conduct testing and quality assurance protocols to ensure systems meet performance standards and compliance requirements

Provide training and change management support to warehouse and logistics staff during system transitions

Monitor system performance post-implementation and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Prepare detailed documentation, status reports, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders

Troubleshoot technical and operational issues that arise during and after implementations

Ensure all systems comply with industry regulations and cold chain management standards

What we're looking for

3+ years' experience in systems implementation, preferably within cold storage warehousing, logistics, or warehousing environments

Proven track record of managing large-scale technology implementations from conception to completion

Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, or similar logistics technologies, Carton Cloud experience highly desirable

Experience working with cold chain management systems, temperature monitoring technologies, or refrigeration control systems

Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget

Strong understanding of supply chain and distribution operations

Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate technical and organisational challenges

Familiarity with change management methodologies and best practices

Tertiary qualification in IT, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline is preferred

Experience with Carton Cloud, cloud-based solutions, or modern logistics platforms would be advantageous
