Job summary

ASC in Perth, WA seeks a Systems Administrator to design, provision and optimise our hybrid Microsoft environment across Windows Server, Azure, endpoint management and virtualization. You will apply automation and Infrastructure as Code to improve reliability and security, while partnering with Cyber Security and IT teams to meet governance requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience, with relevant infrastructure, cloud or Microsoft certifications viewed favourably.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, endpoint management and virtualization in hybrid environments.
• Experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure, ideally in Microsoft Azure.
• Practical capability applying automation, scripting and Infrastructure as Code to improve consistency, scalability and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About the Opportunity

Help shape and support the technology platforms that keep ASC running securely, reliably and efficiently. As a Systems Administrator, you'll play a key role in managing and evolving our hybrid technology environment, working across cloud, server, endpoint and infrastructure platforms.

You'll be based in Perth, WA and report to the IT Operations Manager in South Australia. Leveraging automation, modern management practices and a continuous improvement mindset, you'll help enhance service performance, strengthen security and deliver scalable infrastructure solutions. This is an opportunity to work with contemporary Microsoft technologies while contributing to the ongoing evolution of a complex enterprise environment.

What you'll be doing

• Design, provision, maintain and optimise infrastructure platforms and services across a hybrid Microsoft environment.
• Administer server, endpoint and virtualisation technologies to ensure systems remain secure, supported and performing to expectation.
• Support and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services in line with operational, security and business requirements.
• Leverage automation, scripting and Infrastructure as Code practices to improve consistency, scalability and operational efficiency.
• Monitor system health, investigate incidents and problems, and implement solutions that improve reliability and reduce recurring issues.
• Plan and deliver infrastructure maintenance, software deployments, upgrades and technology refresh activities with minimal business disruption.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security and broader IT teams to support compliance with security frameworks, governance requirements and architectural principles.
• Identify opportunities to enhance tools, processes, automation and operational practices that improve service outcomes and organisational capability.

About you

• You bring experience in a Systems Administrator or similar role supporting enterprise Microsoft environments within a hybrid infrastructure landscape.
• Degree-qualified in Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience, with relevant infrastructure, cloud or Microsoft certifications viewed favourably.
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server, endpoint management and virtualisation technologies within hybrid environments.
• Experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure, ideally within Microsoft Azure.
• Practical capability applying automation, scripting and Infrastructure as Code practices to improve consistency, scalability and operational efficiency.
• A strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and committed to continuous improvement, professional development and keeping pace with evolving technologies, security practices and industry trends.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
