Job summary

ASC is Australia’s submarine company delivering critical ICT support for Australia's future submarine program. As a Desktop Support Analyst, you will provide Level 1/2 technical assistance, manage Microsoft 365 services, Active Directory/Entra ID, MFA, and endpoint devices to ensure a seamless experience for staff including senior leaders.

You will work in a dynamic ICT Operations team, troubleshooting across hardware, software, and network issues, and contribute to knowledge articles and IT

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a Desktop Support, Service Desk, or Technical Support role within a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, MFA, and endpoint management technologies such as Intune or SCCM.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and mobility issues with a customer-focused approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL) together with the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearances

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for hardware, software, mobile devices, printers, operating systems, and network connectivity issues.
• Manage and support corporate computing devices, Microsoft 365 services, collaboration tools, and associated end-user technologies.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve incidents while maintaining accurate records within IT service management and ticketing systems.
• Administer and support technologies including Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA, Intune, SCCM, and related endpoint management platforms.
• Escalate and coordinate complex technical issues with specialist teams and vendors to ensure timely resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining knowledge articles, processes, and support documentation.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, security requirements, and IT governance frameworks while delivering outstanding customer service.

As a Desktop Support Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the technology environment that enables the delivery of Australia's future submarine program. Working within a dynamic ICT Operations team, you will provide technical support across a broad range of end-user technologies, manage enterprise devices and Microsoft 365 services, and help ensure a seamless user experience for employees at all levels, including senior leaders. Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
