Job summary

ASC Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Operations Workflow Lead to shape how work is planned, prioritised and delivered across IT. You will design, implement and mature frameworks that provide visibility of workload, capacity and delivery commitments across the function.

You will work with IT PMO and technology leaders to ensure workloads and dependencies are represented in planning and governance, establishing reporting rhythms and meaningful metrics to drive better outcomes.

Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

Join ASC in a pivotal new role that will shape how work is planned, prioritised and delivered across our Infrastructure & Operations function. The Infrastructure & Operations Workflow Lead role is a unique opportunity to build and embed the structures, governance and workflow management practices needed to support a growing and evolving technology environment.

Rather than stepping into an established model, you will design, implement and mature the frameworks that provide visibility of workload, capacity, priorities and delivery commitments across the function. Working closely with leaders and technical teams, you'll establish fit-for-purpose ways of working across business-as-usual operations, planned operational change, projects and emergent work. You’ll help ensure competing demands are visible, trade-offs are explicit and work flows effectively from intake and prioritisation through to execution. You will do this within ASC's broader IT governance and delivery framework, ensuring Infrastructure & Operations planning and workflow practices complement and support enterprise delivery outcomes.

This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives on creating structure from complexity, enjoys building capability from the ground up and can bring together people, processes and governance to drive better operational outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

• Design, implement and continuously mature the workflow and capacity management framework that supports effective planning, prioritisation and delivery across Infrastructure & Operations.
• Work closely with the IT PMO, project managers and technology leaders to ensure Infrastructure & Operations workload, capacity, dependencies and delivery commitments are effectively represented in planning, prioritisation and governance activities.
• Establish fit-for-purpose governance, reporting and operational rhythms that provide visibility of workload, capacity, dependencies, risks and delivery commitments.
• Develop and embed demand intake, prioritisation and planning processes that create consistency, transparency and alignment across multiple teams and work streams.
• Partner with leaders and technical teams to define and implement ways of working that improve coordination, accountability and delivery outcomes.
• Create meaningful metrics, dashboards and reporting mechanisms that support informed decision-making and proactive management of workload and resource demand.Own and continuously maintain a consolidated view of work across the function, helping leaders identify competing priorities, dependencies, emerging risks, delivery impacts and capacity constraints early enough to act.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks, process inefficiencies and resourcing challenges, driving improvements that strengthen delivery effectiveness and predictability.
• Establish and mature workflow management practices while actively coordinating the ongoing flow, sequencing and visibility of work across Infrastructure & Operations.
  

About you

• A natural builder who enjoys creating structure, clarity and scalable ways of working where processes and frameworks are still developing or do not yet exist.
• Experience in workflow management, capacity planning, portfolio coordination, service delivery or operational governance, ideally across infrastructure, technology operations or another complex technical environment.
• Proven ability to influence technical and operational leaders, facilitate difficult priority trade-offs and drive outcomes without direct line authority.
• The ability to translate strategic priorities into practical frameworks, processes and reporting mechanisms that support effective execution.
• Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining visibility across multiple teams, initiatives and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical capability and a data-driven approach to decision-making, performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build alignment and credibility across technical and business teams.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for solving problems, bringing order to complexity and driving operational maturity.
• Experience using Jira or equivalent work-management tools to maintain integrated backlogs, plans, dependencies and delivery reporting across multiple teams.
  

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
