Job summary

AFL is seeking a Participation Coordinator based in Sydney to grow Australian Rules football across Greater Sydney. You will deliver engaging programs for participants, schools, clubs and communities, building safe, fun experiences and strong local partnerships.

In this maximum term role, you’ll coordinate programs, manage bookings, and support participation growth across NAB AFL Auskick, NAB AFL Superkick and AFL NINES, contributing to the game’s reach.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage participants, teachers, schools, clubs and other stakeholders.
• Initiative and ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
• Strong administration, organisation and planning capability.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Careful attention to detail and a consistent, process-focused approach.
• Ability to remain composed and communicate effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver participation programs across Greater Sydney.
• Build strong relationships with local schools, clubs and community stakeholders.
• Support AFPs NAB AFL Auskick, NAB AFL Superkick and AFL NINES programs.
• Deliver programs in line with curriculum, safety and inclusivity standards.
• Assist with participant recruitment, venues, promotions and bookings.
• Contribute to shared team priorities and participation initiatives.
