Job summary

AFL - Australian Football League is seeking a Participation Coordinator based in Sydney to grow Australian Rules football across Greater Sydney. You will deliver engaging programs for participants, schools and clubs, coordinating bookings and partnerships to foster safe, fun football experiences.

You will work across NAB AFL Auskick, NAB AFL Superkick and AFL NINES, supporting participation growth and positive fan engagement while collaborating with teachers, clubs and communities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver participation programs, build strong relationships with local stakeholders and support positive football and fan engagement experiences across Greater Sydney.
• Support junior clubs and Auskick and Superkick centres with participant recruitment, volunteers, coaching, protocols, promotion and venue hire.
• Drive program bookings and support participation growth.
• Deliver AFL programs in schools and after-school settings, including curriculum-linked programs, Auskick, Superkick and all-abilities programs.
• Conduct school assemblies and other promotional activities to build awareness and participation.
• Deliver programs in line with the relevant curriculum and create safe, welcoming and enjoyable experiences.
• Build productive relationships with teachers, schools and other program stakeholders.
• Coordinate AFL player visits and fan engagement activities.
• Contribute to shared team priorities and the success of participation initiatives across Greater Sydney.

The opportunity

As Participation Coordinator, you will help grow Australian Rules football across Greater Sydney by delivering engaging programs and creating quality experiences for participants, schools, clubs and communities.

This role is a Maximum Term contract covering a period of Parental Leave until December 2027.

Based in Sydney, you will support participation across Community Football, NAB AFL Auskick, NAB AFL Superkick and AFL NINES. Through a targeted approach, you will help more children and young people connect with the game in safe, friendly and fun environments.

What You’ll Own

You will coordinate and deliver participation programs, build strong relationships with local stakeholders and support positive football and fan engagement experiences across Greater Sydney.

You’ll Add Value Through
