Job summary

Based in Sydney, AFL - Australian Football League delivers engaging AFL programmes in schools and community settings while supporting local clubs and participation centres to grow participation across Greater Sydney.

This maximum term role spans 12 months and focuses on curriculum-aligned activities, safe participant experiences, and strong stakeholder engagement to promote football across communities in the region.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage confidently with schools, teachers, volunteers and community stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and administrative capability with attention to detail.
• Initiative and judgement to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
• Process-focused approach to ensure consistent programme delivery.
• Clear communication and ability to perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver safe, inclusive football experiences in schools and community settings.
• Support junior clubs and Auskick/Superkick centres with recruitment, volunteers, coaching, promotion and venue hire.
• Drive programme bookings and contribute to participation growth across Greater Sydney.
• Deliver programmes aligned with curriculum and ensure safe, enjoyable experiences for all participants.
• Conduct school assemblies and promotional activities to encourage participation.
• Build relationships with teachers, schools and programme stakeholders.
• Coordinate AFL player visits and fan engagement activities.
• Complete programme administration accurately and efficiently.
• Contribute to shared priorities and overall team success.
