Job summary

The Australian Football League (AFL) in Sydney is seeking a Schools Participation Coordinator to grow Australian Rules football across Greater Sydney. You will deliver engaging AFL programmes in schools and communities, support local clubs and participation centres, and help more people connect with the game.

Based in Sydney, this 12-month maximum term role focuses on safe, inclusive and enjoyable experiences for children and young people, with responsibilities spanning School Competitions,

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to engage with schools, teachers, volunteers and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and administrative capability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AFL programmes in schools and after-school settings.
• Support junior clubs, Auskick and Superkick centres.
• Drive programme bookings and growth across Greater Sydney.
• Deliver programmes in line with the curriculum, creating safe, friendly experiences.
• Conduct school assemblies and promotional activities to engage youth.
