Job summary

SKG Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced IT & Security Operations Manager to lead daily IT operations and strengthen cybersecurity and risk governance. This hands-on leadership role focuses on infrastructure stability, security controls and continuous improvement across technology operations.

You will manage IT procurement, onboarding, asset lifecycle and report metrics to senior stakeholders, driving compliance and alignment with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, IT operations and network security.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management and security best practices.
• Experience with IT procurement, hardware/software management and asset lifecycle management.
• Experience managing user access, IT onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Strong understanding of IT security standards, compliance and risk frameworks.
• Experience analysing system performance, security incidents and operational data.
• A track record of identifying risks and implementing practical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and incident management skills.
• Experience driving continuous improvement across IT environments.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence reporting to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure stability, system performance and uptime.
• Managing network security, cybersecurity and IT risk initiatives to protect systems and data.
• Overseeing IT hardware and software procurement, asset management and lifecycle processes.
• Managing employee IT onboarding and offboarding, including system access and hardware/software allocation.
• Ensuring IT security controls align with regulatory and industry requirements.
• Monitoring security risks, vulnerabilities and incidents with mitigation strategies.
• Producing and analysing reports on system performance, security incidents and IT risk.
• Reporting IT and security metrics to senior management with improvement recommendations.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives across IT and security operations.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders within the Technology & Information team.
