Job summary

Croydon Shire Council is seeking a casual Swimming Pool Attendant to support the daily operation of the Croydon Swimming Pool and help provide a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for pool users. You will supervise patrons, maintain a safe pool environment, and handle cleaning and basic administration.

Strong communication and customer service skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include First Aid and CPR, a Working with Children Blue Card, a Pool Lifeguard Certificate, and a

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• Working with Children Blue Card or ability to obtain.
• Pool Lifeguard Certificate preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Commitment to safety, accurate record keeping and high service standards.
• Pool Plant Operations and Maintenance qualifications are highly regarded.

Croydon Shire Council is seeking a motivated and community-focused Casual Swimming Pool Attendant to manage the day-to-day operation of the Croydon Swimming Pool. This is an opportunity to contribute to the health, wellbeing and recreation of our community while helping provide a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for pool users.

The Position

As Swimming Pool Attendant, you will support the daily operation of the Croydon Swimming Pool, including:

Supervising patrons and maintaining a safe pool environment

Cleaning and maintaining the pool and surrounding facilities

Completing administration, record keeping and reporting

Providing excellent customer service and promoting community participation

Ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful applicant will have:

Current or ability to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification

Current or ability to obtain a Working with Children Blue Card

Pool Lifeguard Certificate

Strong communication and customer service skills

Sound literacy and numeracy skills

Ability to work independently with limited supervision
