Job summary

Talent Propeller is recruiting a Senior Lifeguard to lead the pool attendants for the season, overseeing daily pool operations and lifeguard supervision at both Crookwell and Gunning Pools.

You will manage the day-to-day activities, support the team to perform efficiently and safely, and ensure high-standard customer care during the summer season from November through March, with up to 38 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must hold RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Training or be willing to acquire.
• NSW Working with Children Check clearance required.
• Knowledge and experience in aquatics environment.
• Previous experience as a supervisor or lifeguard supervisor.
• Current first aid and advanced resuscitation certificates.
• Ability to work productively as part of a team.
• Ability to supervise staff unsupervised.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills with diverse customers.
• Willingness to acquire chemical handling certificate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of Council Pools and supervise lifeguards.
• Lead pool attendants and supervise operations to be efficient and safe.
• Support team to work effectively and safely.
• Work at Crookwell and Gunning Pools during the summer season (Nov–Mar) with up to 38 hours per week.

Upper Lachlan Shire is looking for energetic and enthusiastic Swimming Pool Attendants to provide lifeguard supervision and undertake operational and maintenance duties at both the Gunning and Crookwell Swimming Pools over the summer season from November through to March (subject to weather). Depending on your availability you could work up to 38 hours a week.

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity you will need the following;

• Current RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Training Certificate or willingness to acquire.
• Current NSW Working with children check clearance number.
• Contemporary knowledge and demonstrated experience in working within an aquatics environment.
• Previous experience as a supervisor, or supervising as a lifeguard.
• Current first aid certificate and advanced resuscitation certificate.
• Proven ability to work productively as a member of a team and contribute to team goals.
• Demonstrated experience to work unsupervised and supervise subordinate staff.
• Proven ability to work productively as a member of a team and contribute to team goals.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers.
• Chemical handling certificate willingness to acquire.

You have experience in providing superior customer service and your maturity enables you to work under limited supervision. You are flexible with your availability and can work weekday hours and also weekends.

Enjoy generous pay rates starting from $41.17 per hour (including casual loading) + superannuation. This position is a Grade 7 in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council's salary system.
