Job summary

Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council seeks a qualified aquatic supervisor for Bungendore, Braidwood and Captains Flat pools. You will supervise patrons, ensure safety, perform water testing, and maintain pool operations. The role offers full-time hours with flexible work arrangements to support work-life balance.

Location:

Bungendore, Braidwood and Captains Flat positions available

The Package:

$1,269.28 - $1,349.36 gross per week + 12% super. (Evaluated as Grade 5 of the QPRC Salary System 2026) and Award increases of 4% in 2027-28 and 4% in 2028-2029.

Full-time – up to 38 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may be considered.

In this role you will:

• Supervise all patrons at the pools and take appropriate action in case of an emergency.
• Conduct regular chemical, filtration and plant equipment operation, and daily water testing and recording.
• Provide a high level of customer service, helping with enquires and collecting fees.
• Help maintain the presentation of the pool centre by assisting with cleaning and maintenance.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant experience in an aquatic’s role, supervising patrons and staff.
• Capability to provide high level of customer service.
• Has great time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Possesses a Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard Certificate, Advanced First Aid Certificate and Working with Children Check.
