Wabi Sushi in Melbourne's Richmond area is seeking a skilled chef to join our kitchen team. You will prepare sushi-grade fish, assist in quality checks, and maintain a clean, efficient station to uphold high standards.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years' chef experience in a commercial kitchen and the ability to produce excellent Asian dishes. Training and opportunities for progression are provided in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
• Ability to produce excellent high-quality Asian food.

Mansioni

• Inspect the quality of fruits, vegetables, and fish for sushi preparation.
• Cut, slice, and fillet different types of fish including Salmon and Tuna.
• Maintain a clean work environment to prevent food contamination, including sterilising all utensils, instruments and equipment.
• Undertake regular inventory checks of food supplies.
• Report any defective kitchen items to Manager on duty.
• Ensure dishes are of a high standard before they reach the customer.
• Work closely with other Chefs of all levels.
• Check the quality of food prepared to ensure proper presentation before serving.
