Job summary

St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) invites applications for a Waitlist Officer – Health Services Partnerships. The role supports the elective surgery waiting list process, coordinating with Surgical Liaison Nurses to prepare patients for procedures and liaise with external health services.

This fixed-term, part-time position (3 days per week) is based in Fitzroy/CBD, offering salary packaging, wellbeing programs and ongoing professional development within SVHA’s hospital network.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration in a healthcare role.
• Experience with patient administration systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Current national criminal history check, or willingness to obtain.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process waiting list forms within the policy timelines.
• Create, record and update the Waiting List Screen in PAS.
• Contact patients and schedule admissions.
• Schedule pre-admission and related clinics as requested.
