Job summary

Kool Beanz Casuarina is seeking a passionate Supportive Care Educator to join our Senior Kindy room. You will provide dedicated inclusion support to children needing additional help while integrating with the broader team to support each child’s development.

We value caring, nurturing professionals who are committed to inclusion, collaboration with families and allied health professionals, and ongoing learning in a family-owned centre.

Qualifications

• Must have Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Current Blue Card/Working with Children Check.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs in early childhood.
• Experience with autism or behavioural challenges is advantageous.
• Ability to implement inclusive, play-based programs.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 5 hours daily of Inclusion Support to children needing additional support.
• Respect the Senior Kindy room’s educator-to-child ratio for 2.5 hours daily.
• Work five days per week with the fifth day covering lunch and breaks.
• Collaborate with families, therapists and professionals to support development and wellbeing.
• Contribute to learning programs and maintain clear documentation and communication.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and we are looking for a passionate Supportive Care Educator to join our Senior Kindy room and make a genuine difference in the lives of children requiring additional support.

The Opportunity
This role offers a unique balance of dedicated inclusion support and working within the broader room team.

• 5 hours per day providing dedicated Inclusion Support to children requiring additional support.
• 2.5 hours per day working within the normal educator-to-child ratio in the Senior Kindy room.
• Opportunity to work 5 days per week, with the fifth day working within the normal ratio to support lunch covers, breaks and the wider team.
• Work collaboratively with educators, families, therapists and other professionals to support children's individual development and wellbeing.

Skills and Experience:

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or equivalent/approved qualification.
• Current Blue Card/Working with Children Check.
• Experience working as an early childhood educator supporting children with additional needs.
• Experience supporting children with autism or behavioural challenges would be highly regarded.
• Ability to implement inclusive, educational and play-based programs.
• Experience supporting children's self-care, toileting, feeding, communication and social development would be advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively with families, educators, allied health professionals and other stakeholders.
• Strong communication, documentation and organisational skills.
• A genuine commitment to creating an inclusive environment where every child can participate and belong.
