Job summary

Kool Beanz Bridge Road is seeking a Diploma-qualified Lead Educator to guide and mentor the team in delivering high-quality early childhood education. You will lead program delivery, document child learning, and collaborate with families to support each child’s development.

The role requires passion for early childhood education, strong planning skills, and a commitment to upholding EYLF and NQS standards within a close-knit, community-focused centre.

Qualifications

• Experience as Lead Educator in an early childhood setting.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-equivalent.
• Current WWC Check and First Aid certification.
• Strong understanding of EYLF and NQS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to making a positive impact on children’s learning.

Our centre at Kool Beanz, Bridge Road is conveniently located just moments from Mackay Base Hospital. With dedicated space for up to 52 children aged six weeks to six years, our family-owned and operated centre is designed to provide a warm, home-away-from-home atmosphere for children.

Inside, children can explore thoughtfully designed rooms including a STEM and art space, a cozy library, and inviting classrooms. Outside, our nature-inspired playground features a bird aviary, zen garden and shaded areas for active play, discovery, and quiet reflection, encouraging children to connect with the environment while enjoying every moment.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Diploma Qualified, highly motivated Lead Educator who is ready to work Monday to Friday.

This role is a position where using your previous experience as a Lead Educator, you will help to manage and support the team. For us, it's about finding a like-minded individual who is passionate about early childhood education and the developmental needs of children.

• Help to support your team, to implement programs, follow the EYLF and share the excitement of child-led discovery.

• Support the centre to Meet/Exceed the National Quality Standards

About You:

• Experience: previous experience as a Lead Educator in an early childhood setting.
• Qualifications:Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care OR equivalent approved by ACECQA.
• Compliance:Current Working with Children Check (WWC) and First Aid certification.
  Knowledge:Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards (NQS).
• Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion for Education:Genuine love for children and a commitment to making a positive impact.
• Documentation & Planning:Strong skills in documenting and planning for individual learning needs and general administration.
• Work Authorisation: Australian work authorisation is required for this position.

Working hours:

Ideally, we are looking for team member who are available to work within the hours of 6.30am and 6.30pm Monday - Friday.
