Job summary

Kool Beanz Southport is seeking an Assistant Educator to join our unique childcare centre that blends modern facilities with a play-rich, nature-inspired setting. You will contribute to EYLF-aligned programs and help children thrive through creative, inquiry-based learning.

The role focuses on building strong partnerships with families and local schools, supporting staff, and ensuring quality practices across the centre.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or currently working towards.
• Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis certificates.
• Blue Card / Working with Children clearance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support a team of educators to implement EYLF-based programs.

We are a unique childcare centre that features classrooms and ancillary facilities, along with an art room, library, LEGO room, and master chef kitchen. Our inclusive outdoor environment emphasizes nature and an ever-changing, free-flowing space that stimulates all the senses. At Kool Beanz SUNS Southport, we acknowledge our vital role in supporting children to become the best version of themselves, appreciating each child as unique. We are looking for an Assistant Educator either Certificate III or Diploma qualified or working towards obtaining a qualification to be a part of the Kool Beanz family.

The Role

• Supporting a team of educators to implement programs, follow the EYLF and share the excitement of child-led discovery.
• Creating long-lasting connections and partnerships with your local community, schools, and families.
• Supporting the centre to Meet/Exceed the National Quality Standards

About You

• Certificate III / Diploma Early Childhood Education and Care qualification or working towards the qualification.
• Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis Certificates.
• Paid working with children check (Blue Card).
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks/workload.
• Ability to demonstrate innovative and creative thinking.
• Enthusiastic, positive, fun and outgoing attitude.
• Approachable and friendly with a demonstrated passion for early education.
• An understanding of EYLF.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to build strong relationships.

Working Hours

You must be available to work within the hours of 6.30am and 6.30pm Monday - Friday.
