Job summary

Kool Beanz Casuarina is seeking a passionate Supportive Care Educator to join our Senior Kindy room. You will provide Inclusion Support to children needing extra assistance and work with families, therapists and other professionals to support each child’s development.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs and inclusive programs.
• Strong communication with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide Inclusion Support to children requiring additional support in Senior Kindy.
• Collaborate with families, therapists and other professionals on development goals.
• Support lunch covers and maintain educator-to-child ratios as needed.
• Implement inclusive, play-based programs and monitor children’s progress.

Supportive Care Educator – Senior Kindy | Kool Beanz Casuarina

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and we are looking for a passionate Supportive Care Educator to join our Senior Kindy room and make a genuine difference in the lives of children requiring additional support.

The Opportunity

• 5 hours per day providing dedicated Inclusion Support to children requiring additional support.
• 2.5 hours per day working within the normal educator-to-child ratio in the Senior Kindy room.
• Opportunity to work 5 days per week, with the fifth day working within the normal ratio to support lunch covers, breaks and the wider team.
• Work collaboratively with educators, families, therapists and other professionals to support children's individual development and wellbeing.

Skills and Experience:

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or equivalent/approved qualification.
• Current Blue Card/Working with Children Check.
• Experience working as an early childhood educator supporting children with additional needs.
• Experience supporting children with autism or behavioural challenges would be highly regarded.
• Ability to implement inclusive, educational and play-based programs.
• Experience supporting children's self-care, toileting, feeding, communication and social development would be advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively with families, educators, allied health professionals and other stakeholders.
• Strong communication, documentation and organisational skills.
• A genuine commitment to creating an inclusive environment where every child can participate and belong.
