Job summary

Just Better Care is seeking dedicated Support Workers to assist with in-home aged care and disability support in the Hervey Bay region. This casual opportunity offers flexible hours to fit your schedule while delivering essential community-based care.

Roles include personal care, domestic duties, social support, and assisting with mobility aids. Applicants should have a Certificate III/IV, current First Aid/CPR, police checks, a driver’s licence, and a reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability, Individual Support, or Home & Community Care (preferred)
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (if applicable)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Valid Federal Police Check, Yellow Card, and Blue Card
• A current Australian Driver's Licence
• A reliable, registered, and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance preferred)
• Smartphone with internet access

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, and medication assistance
• Assisting with domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
• Offering social support and transport for appointments, shopping, and community outings
• Helping customers safely use mobility aids and equipment (e.g., hoists, walkers, wheelchairs)
• Supporting clients with complex or challenging care needs
• Monitoring customer well-being and reporting any changes or concerns
• Attending staff meetings and participating in required training sessions
