As a Support Worker you’ll assist with personal care, social activities, and practical tasks, using a mobile app to access rosters and record notes. A positive, community-minded attitude is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, medication assistance)
• Provide social support and transport for activities and medical appointments
• Assist with light domestic tasks (cleaning, laundry, meal prep)
• Support customers with aids and equipment and complex needs
• Monitor well-being and report progress to supervisors

Duties and responsibilities include:

Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance

Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments

Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation

Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment

Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs

Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress

Provide updates on customer progress following each service

About you:

Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills

Ability to build rapport & good working relationships

Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback

What you will need:

NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check

• Proof of Vaccination(where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate

Current First Aid certificate/CPR

Current Australian Drivers License

Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle

Smart phone with internet access

Current Working with Children Check (preferred)

Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (preferred)
