Job summary

HammondCare's Respite Cottages in Wahroonga and Terrey Hills seeks a Dedicated Specialised Carer to provide personalised care and a welcoming, home-like experience for guests during stays up to 10 nights.

You'll deliver personal care, support care plans, maintain dignity, and document care accurately. A driver’s licence and transport are useful; Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support is preferred, with first aid desirable. Training provided.

Job description

HammondCare's Respite Cottages provide short-term accommodation and individualised support for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights. As a Specialised Carer, you'll play a vital role in delivering personalised care and creating a welcoming, home-like environment.

About the role

• In this role you will provide care for our clients across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills Cottages.
• Hourly Rates: $32.91 to $36.50- P/H + Casual loading + Super + Salary Packaging
• Opportunites for Permanent Part positions

Shifts include: (You must be able to do a mix of below)

• 7.15am-14.45 - Morning shift
• 14.45 - 21.45- Afternoon shift
• 21.30- 07.45- Night shift

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene
• Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans
• Support and care for guests during overnight or extended stays
• Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally

About you

• Available to work across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills sites
• you're a people-person who is patient and solutions-focused
• you have previous experience in aged or community care, or are looking to start your career in aged care
• you have a valid Driver's Licence and access to an insured, reliable car
• ideally, you'll have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. If you're not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help
• First Aid certificate desirable
• Empathy and compassion are a must
• Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone
• A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
