HammondCare Respite Cottages in Dubbo seeks a Specialised Carer to provide personalised care and create a home-like environment for guests during stays of up to 10 nights.

Hourly rates range from $32.91 to $36.50 per hour plus penalties. Shifts include morning, afternoon, and night rotations. Training is provided; essential qualities are empathy, compassion and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support preferred.
• First Aid certificate desirable.
• Empathy and compassion are essential; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene.
• Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans.
• Support and care for guests during overnight or extended stays.
• Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally.

Job description

HammondCare's Respite Cottages provide short-term accommodation and individualised support for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights. As a Specialised Carer, you'll play a vital role in delivering personalised care and creating a welcoming, home-like environment.

Hourly Rates: $32.91 to $36.50 - P/H + penalties

Shifts include:

• 7.15am-14.45 - Morning shift
  
• 14.45 - 21.45- Afternoon shift
  
• 21.30- 07.45- Night shift

Responsibilities

As a Specialised Carer at our Dubbo cottage, you will:

• Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene
  
• Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans
  
• Support and care for guests during overnight or extended stays
  
• Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities
  
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally

What do you need to apply?

• No formal qualification is necessary, however, Certificate III Individual Support is an advantage
  
• First Aid certificate desirable
  
• Empathy and compassion are a must
  
• We provide job training as long as you have the willingness and desire to learn
  
• Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone
  
• A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
