Job summary

HammondCare Home Care in Ulladulla is seeking carers for casual shifts. You will provide essential care to help older people live independently at home and build meaningful relationships with clients.

You’ll travel to clients’ homes using your own car; mileage is paid at 0.99 AUD per km plus travel time. A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable car are required; Certificate III in Aged Care is preferred but training is available.

Qualifications

• You’re a people-person who is patient and solutions-focused.
• Experience in aged or community care, or keen to start a career in aged care.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to insured, reliable car.
• Ideally have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support; training available if not qualified.
• Flexible to meet changing needs of home care clients.

We do! Join HammondCare as a Home Care Worker and be part of an independent, not-for-profit organisation improving the lives of thousands of older people in need.

HammondCare Home Care is currently looking for Carers to join our team in Ulladulla region on a Casual basis.

The applicant must be available for 3 to 5 weekdays either 0700-1500 or 0900-17 pm ,Monday to Friday

About the role

You’ll provide essential, practical care for older people, supporting them to live independently in their own homes and genuinely improving their quality of life. This includes not only day-to-day care but also building meaningful relationships and offering companionship. The role requires travel to clients’ homes using your own car (you’ll be paid $0.99 per km plus paid travel time).

In return for your expertise, we offer:

• $32.91 to $36.50 per hour plus 99c/km + paid travel time + mobile phone provided

About you

• you’re a people-person who is patient and solutions-focused
• you have previous experience in aged or community care, or are looking to start your career in aged care
• you have a valid Driver's Licence and access to an insured, reliable car (min. Third Party Property Insurance)
• ideally, you’ll have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. If you’re not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help
• you’ll be flexible around meeting the changing needs of home care clients
