Job summary

genU is seeking Overnight Sleep - Support Workers in Bunbury, WA, to work with people with disabilities. You will support daily living, medication administration, and personal care while following behavior support plans.

The role includes night rosters with 7 shifts totaling 60 hours per fortnight; you’ll use a private vehicle under the motor vehicle allowance policy and benefit from salary packaging and additional perks.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting customers with disabilities and behaviour support plans.
• Ability to administer medications and assist with personal care tasks.
• Patience, empathy and ability to handle complex situations.

Hourly rate starting: $36.42 (plus Super plus NFP Salary Packaging)

genU is looking for Overnight Sleep - Support Workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.

These are overnight sleep rosters of 7 shifts @ 60 hrs per fortnight. Please review the roster included before applying.

What you’ll do

• Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them;
• Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration;
• Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
• Administration duties and mandatory reporting

What you’ll bring

• Experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans;
• An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;
• Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;
• Previous experience medication administration;
• Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience;
• Cert III in Disability, Individual Support or higher (or working towards one) is essential;
• A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
