Job summary

genU is seeking a compassionate Residential Support Worker in Ocean Grove for casual shifts, including weekends and sleepovers. You will help residents with daily living, personal care, and community engagement as part of person-centred support.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III/IV in Disability, current Victorian Driver Licence, First Aid/CPR, and NDIS checks. Join a values-driven NGO reinvesting in social impact and worker wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living activities such as personal care, food preparation, medication support, and mealtime routines.
• Encourage independence and skill-building through person-centred support and teaching moments.
• Create opportunities for residents to connect with their community, explore interests, and engage in meaningful activities.
• Work alongside team leaders and colleagues to implement Person‑Centred Plans (PCPs).
• Maintain accurate documentation and records to support safe, quality and empowering care.
• Complete admin tasks such as compliance reporting, client paperwork and incident documentation while following genU policies and WHS standards.

What you’ll do

As a Residential Support Worker, you will:

• Support residents with daily living activities such as personal care, food preparation, medication support, and mealtime routines.
• Encourage independence and skill-building through person-centred support and teaching moments (big and small).
• Create opportunities for residents to connect with their community, explore interests, and engage in meaningful activities.
• Work alongside team leaders and colleagues to implement Person‑Centred Plans (PCPs).
• Maintain accurate documentation and records to support safe, quality and empowering care.
• Complete admin tasks such as compliance reporting, client paperwork and incident documentation while following genU policies and WHS standards.
